Hemangi Sawant has authored her debut memoir, Denver to Mumbai: A Story of Returning Home, which is scheduled for release in the summer of 2025.

Hemangi first came to the United States in her twenties and established a career as an IT professional, but she always dreamed of someday returning to her homeland.

When she planned to move with her family from America to her birthplace in India, she searched high and low for a book to guide her on this international adventure. Finding none, she meticulously documented her experiences over nine years after moving back home, keeping a detailed record in the form of notes. Upon returning to America, she decided to pen this one-of-a-kind memoir to help other immigrant families understand and appreciate her journey. She wants to share her experiences in the hope that the answers she was seeking could be useful to her readers. The joys, unexpected trials, family she reconnected with, and the new friends she made will make this story relatable to readers.

Hemangi now lives in Houston, Texas, where she relaxes by singing Bollywood songs.
